The final lesson on the life of Elijah is more about Elisha than Elijah. Several times, Elijah gave Elisha an opportunity to stop but Elisha would not stop short. When Christians walk for the Lord there will be great temptations to stop short and be satisfied where they are. Christians need to walk all the way with the Lord so they might have a greater ministry.

Sometimes He sends the prophet away so the nation must think about the message of judgment that the prophet gave to the king. Elijah was obedient to the Lord and followed Him.
